#11 Stir Fry & Company
I took it upon myself to enhance the esthetic’s of my food photography. I love to look at photographed food, and instantly start drooling. Thus, I did a bit of research, and decided to take the term “culinary arts” literally. What do you think?
Now, on to tonight’s meal. I finally made a stir fry! (*jump for joy*). However, I wanted to take an ordinary stir fry and fire it up. As you can see, all the ingredients came from either the salad bar or grill station-with the exception of white rice which I scavenged from the global cafe. Who knew 8 simple ingredients could do one wonders? The first bite was salty, sweet, hearty, and full of texture. Not to mention I had a blast fiddling with the aesthetic presentation, (Iron Chef America taught me well).
Note: My friend Rosalie microwaves a spoonful of peanut butter for 30 seconds and adds it to her stir fry. I tried this the other night and it tasted DELICIOUS. The sweet and salty PB complemented the stir fry perfectly, (this is essentially a d-hall twist on the asian fusion “peanut sauce”). If you want a more authentic peanut sauce, mix microwaved peanut butter and soy sauce together (1:1 ratio).
Enjoy!
